9月21日消息，EOS网络基金会创始人和首席执行官Yves La Rose在社交媒体发文表示，EOS将于今日2100硬分叉并激活其v3.1共识升级。他解释称，EOS核心代码不会分叉，分叉出一条敌对公链，只有在某一时刻决定是否同意硬分叉，因此节点不能与其他节点共享。Yves La Rose表示，虽然分叉的路线图不支持此次硬分叉，但节点可以选择在硬分叉后立即向主网迁移。如果出现严重的客户端原因，EOS将在9月24日下午4：00前停止强制性恢复系统。另外，EOS网络基金会表示，不应该向其它节点协调分叉。
