Why can’t Huobi login? In the early morning today, Huobi officially announced that “in order to protect the security of user assets and trading experience, we have decided to not support the login of exchanges in certain countries or regions. Due to the lack of clear restrictions in current relevant laws and regulations, if we are unable to operate digital currency-related businesses within the approved areas of China Mainland, Hong Kong, and other countries by the government, the funds and information of platform users will be frozen.”

In response to this situation, Huobi Group stated that the term “cannot login” was not mentioned in the “notice” issued by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) on April 6, 2019. There are three reasons why “Huobi cannot login”:

1. “Users did not log in” because the Huobi official website page displays “Can access all Huobi accounts,” which makes it difficult to query normally.

2. The balance in user accounts cannot be withdrawn, causing difficulties in account replenishment and affecting the normal use of other functions within the Huobi app. At the same time, users are also unsure if their passwords have been stolen.

3. There were server issues, and for newly registered users, there may be cases of leaked permissions, making it impossible to login.

4. “The system will update user authorization methods based on network conditions, thus affecting user withdrawal operations.”

5. On the website, there may be erroneous information about Huobi wallets causing users to be unable to login. The anonymous author of such information is from Huobi Research Institute, and they explain it as follows: Firstly, “the server itself is a closed database. Therefore, when a team discovers that their server has failed or experienced any post-attack incidents, the server will go back online and run again, but this does not mean that Huobi will not send you email notifications. This event is actually a serious threat to the entire industry.”

6. The reason why Huobi cannot login is that the project party did not take measures to restore service functionality, as required. (Note: In June, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission announced a ban on business between Huobi and U.S. customers)

7. Worldwide, central banks of various countries are actively promoting cryptocurrency regulatory policies to ensure that investors are not affected by fraudulent activities.
