Why doesn’t Huobi allow short selling? According to “Securities Daily” report, Huobi’s contract trading platform Huobi Global is currently the only domestic exchange that supports digital asset spot and derivative trading. In traditional financial markets, due to the lack of relevant regulatory laws, inability to meet the needs of investors, and higher trading risks, in order to ensure user interests, Huobi Global has launched a “0 margin” product. For professional investors, zero margin provides comprehensive services to customers; for individuals, they can participate in contract trading without needing sufficient leverage or large capital positions.

Li Lin, Vice President of Huobi Group, stated, “If we are to engage in cryptocurrency derivatives trading, we will choose the safest way to communicate with you.” He also emphasized, “Our contract trading services include spot trading (including off-exchange), perpetual contracts, and OTC trading, among other businesses. At the same time, we will formulate different risk control strategies and operational plans from the perspective of different users.”
