What is Antminer NM (Antminer D7)?

Antminer NM, also known as Antminer D7, is the latest generation Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) chip released by Antminer in May 2018. By optimizing the chip’s performance, it achieves higher efficiency with lower power consumption.

To solve some of the challenges in the Bitcoin mining industry, Antminer has introduced the NM mining machine series – N2Mining Micro Mining Network. Compared to Bitmain’s M20s Pro, it has the following advantages:

1. High energy efficiency;

2. Fast speed and good scalability with collision resistance;

3. Lower cost, suitable for mining smaller cryptocurrencies; and

4. Large and stable computing power with stable operation.

Antminer D7

Antminer D7 is a mining machine sold by Bitmain, a Bitcoin mining equipment manufacturer, with a price of about 30 yuan per unit.

As introduced, this machine is produced using new technology, with computing power greater than 6PH/s. It has a low energy efficiency ratio below 2H/s and consumes a smaller amount of power, around 150W (while mainstream mining machines are between 40T and 50T).

Mining difficulty has been increasing continually this year, partly due to changes in the market environment in addition to hitting new highs in the first few quarters. (Wu Shuo, Blockchain News)
